이 산 저 산 쳐다본다. 도움이 어디에서 오는가? 하늘과 땅을 만드신 분, 야훼에게서 나의 구원은 오는구나. 네 발이 헛디딜까 야훼, 너를 지키시며 졸지 아니하시리라. 야훼께서 너를 모든 재앙에서 지켜 주시고 네 목숨을 지키시리라.

한국에 내린 큰 비, 산사태와 침수의 소식을 듣고 우려와 더불어 기도를 드립니다. 실종된 사람과 생명을 잃은 사람들을 생각하며 기도합니다. 우리는 실종된 사람이 돌아오기를 기도하고, 가족을 잃은 가정과 공동체를 위하여 위로와 하나님의 평화가 함께 하기를 기도합니다. 우리는 또한 재산과 가정, 이웃을 잃은 사람들을 위해서 기도합니다. 우리는 안정된 기후를 위해전능하신 하나님께 기도하고, 또한 이 재난을 극복하고 서로 돕는 공동체에게 힘과 능력을 주실 것을 기도합니다.
이번 주 제네바 에큐메니칼 센터에서 우리는 한 형제자매로서 한국이 이 고통으로부터 벗어나고 교회들과 공동체들이 이 위기를 극복하기 위해 서로 돕고 격려할 수 있기를 위해 기도합니다.
우리는 여러분과 한 마음이 되어 생각하고 기도하고 또한 행동할 것입니다.
우리를 위해서 십자가에서 고통당하시고 부활하신 주님께서 함께 하시기를 기도합니다.

I lift up my eyes to the hills?from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. The Lord will not let your foot be moved; The Lord who keeps you will not slumber. The Lord will keep you from all evil; The Lord will keep your life.(Psalm 121:1-3, 7)
It is with deep concern and prayer that we received the news of heavy rains, deadly landslides and flash floods in South Korea. We remember in prayer, those who have lost their lives and those others reported missing. We pray for the recovery of the missing people and for consolation and divine peace for the bereaved families and communities. We are also praying for those who have lost property, homes and their livelihoods. We appeal to the Lord Almighty for clemency of the weather and for strength and ability of communities to help each other and recover from this disaster swiftly.
This week at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, we have been praying as a fellowship for the alleviation of the suffering of South Korea and for encouragement and hope for the churches and communities to help overcome this crisis.
We are with you as a global fellowship, in thoughts, prayers and action.
